DJI Modify
DJI Modify is available standalone or bundled with DJI Terra. If you don't already have a Terra licence, a bundle saves approximately 10% versus buying separately.
Buyer's Guide: Which Option Do You Need?
DJI Modify Flagship (standalone)
Choose this only if you already hold a separate DJI Terra licence. Modify currently only edits 3D models built in DJI Terra — it isn't a general-purpose model editor, so it needs a Terra project to work from.
Terra Standard + Modify Flagship
The straightforward bundle for teams that need full modelling plus editing capability, without requiring Terra's most advanced reconstruction features. Saves roughly 10% versus buying Terra Standard and Modify separately.
Terra Flagship + Modify Flagship
The complete package — Terra's most advanced reconstruction capability (including 3D Gaussian Splatting) paired with full model editing. The right choice for teams already committed to Flagship-tier Terra work.
Note: DJI Modify is currently only available at Flagship tier — there is no Standard-tier Modify licence.
DJI Modify is DJI's intelligent 3D model editing software — built to repair the common defects that show up in drone-captured 3D reconstructions, without the manual, labour-intensive editing that's traditionally been required.
Modify launches directly from any DJI Terra 3D modelling project with one click, automatically generating the files needed for editing, including pre-identified problem areas and pre-processed model data. It's been described as the survey industry's answer to Photoshop — intelligent, one-click repairs for issues like floating objects, holes, and misplaced vehicles in a reconstructed model, alongside full manual editing tools for more precise control.
Currently, DJI Modify only supports editing models generated by DJI Terra — it's a companion tool to Terra rather than a standalone 3D editor for models from other sources.

- One-click point cloud classification adjustment
- Automatic terrain result generation
Manual Editing & Visualization
- Custom polygon selection for precise manual control
- 3D display for point mesh, contour lines, and TIN terrain outputs

Export & Compatibility
Models can be exported as PLY, OBJ, B3DM and other common formats, for use in DJI Terra or compatible third-party software.
DJI Modify is a software licence — there is no physical delivery. Once your order is confirmed, your licence key and download/activation instructions will be provided by email.
If you've purchased a bundle, both your Terra and Modify licence details will be provided together.
Frequently Asked Questions
Not currently — DJI Modify only supports editing models that were generated by DJI Terra. It's designed as a companion tool that launches directly from a Terra project rather than a general-purpose 3D model editor.
Only if you choose the standalone "DJI Modify Flagship" option — that assumes you already hold a Terra licence separately. If you don't yet have Terra, one of the two bundle options includes both licences together, and works out cheaper than buying them separately.
"DJI Modify Flagship" is Modify on its own, for people who already have Terra. The two bundle options pair Modify with a Terra licence at either Standard or Flagship tier — choose based on which Terra tier's reconstruction features you need, covered in our DJI Terra Buyer's Guide.
No — DJI Modify is currently only offered at Flagship tier. The "Standard" vs "Flagship" choice in the bundles refers to which tier of Terra is included, not Modify itself.
Both give you the same features — the difference is purely commercial. 1-Year is a lower upfront cost with ongoing annual billing. Permanent is a one-time cost that includes free version updates going forward.
