A 3.5 dB reduction in propeller noise sounds modest written down but is clearly audible in practice — roughly the difference between an aircraft that announces itself across a site and one that doesn’t. On noise-sensitive work, that changes what’s possible: residential surveys, schools and hospitals, livestock and wildlife monitoring, early-morning starts and any job where a complaint ends the flying for the day.
There’s an operational benefit too. A quieter aircraft attracts less attention, which matters for enforcement, security and public safety work where drawing a crowd is the last thing you want.
Quieter blades also tend to run smoother, and smoother means less vibration reaching the gimbal — sharper imagery with no change to how you fly.
