The CHCNAV D270 is a portable, cost-effective single-beam echosounder designed for precise depth measurement in rivers, reservoirs, lakes and coastal areas. Operating at 200 kHz with a measurement range to 200 metres, it integrates a built-in water temperature sensor that continuously corrects sound velocity in real time - removing one of the most common sources of depth measurement error without any manual calculation.
Running on a Linux platform with web-based parameter configuration and chart plotting, the D270 is straightforward to deploy and operate. With 8GB of onboard storage and Bluetooth and Wi-Fi wireless connectivity, it handles extensive survey sessions without external hardware.
