We had the fantastic opportunity to demonstrate the CHCNAV RS10 SLAM laser scanner at the prestigious Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, covering a complex multi-site layout with ease. The entire scan was completed in just 25 minutes — an impressive result that showcased the RS10's speed and efficiency in a real-world setting. More than a product showcase, it was a hands-on validation of how streamlined SLAM scanning can be, from initial setup through data capture to final deliverables.
CHCNAV ViLi i100 & RS10 — Highly Mobile Survey Solution
we took a client out for a hands-on session with two of the most capable pieces of survey kit available right now - the CHCNAV ViLi i100 and the CHCNAV RS10 SLAM Scanner - we demonstrated how these two instruments, when used together, cover almost every scenario a survey team faces in the field:
i100 - centimetre-level RTK GNSS that maintains 5 cm accuracy in GNSS-denied environments. Vi-LiDAR contactless capture. Real-time earthwork volume calculations. 0.8 cm H precision.
RS10 - walk-and-scan SLAM surveying covering up to 13,000 m² in real time. Integrated GNSS RTK, laser scanning and visual SLAM in one handheld unit. No targets, no setup, no post-processing.

CHCNAV i93 GNSS Rover — Accurate Imagery in Minutes
In a remote, real-world field test, we put the CHCNAV i93 visual GNSS rover through its paces with a walk-through photogrammetry session. Without setting up a base or external cameras, our specialist simply walked the area while the rover captured data using its integrated positioning and imaging systems. Within five minutes, we had a clean, accurate and highly detailed model, ready to use back in the office — proof that image-assisted survey workflows genuinely deliver.
CHCNAV Apache 4 USV & D270 Single-Beam Echosounder
Strong currents on the Thames is exactly the kind of condition that pushes survey teams to think differently. This teams usual hire system wasn't suited to the current conditions, so we brought the CHCNAV Apache 4 USV along to demonstrate what it could do.
GNSS + IMU positioning. Integrated D270 single-beam echosounder. Launched from the bank, collecting clean depth data in minutes.
